Deepika talks about the Malyalam actress case

On February 17th, the disturbing news of a Malayalam leading actress being abducted and molested in her own car by her driver and few other accomplices spread like wild fire and the country is aghast. The well planned scheme was intended for blackmailing but the brave actress filed a complaint against them. Everyone has lauded the actress for her courage and for speaking up against this disturbing incident.
Deepika Padukone said that this scares her as a human being. She is thinking of her as a person and not her profession and is extremely upset that people get away with such shameful acts. This is similar to the Bangalore molestation incident (on New Year's Eve), and she wonders how many more incidents will it take for the laws to get stricter and the authorities to do something. She strongly feels that these incidents are so much more than just physical abuse and something must be done.
