Sonam Kapoor endorses Gurmehar Kaur's rights

Kargil martyr's daughter Gurmehar Kaur has been in the eye of a storm after her social media campaign on intolerance against the AVBP clashes at DU overpowered and became a political focus.
Some leaders even called her anti-national and what ensued were death and rape threat and inconsiderate trolling on Twitter.
While Vidya Balan, Anurag Kashyap and Naseeruddin Shah supported the twenty-year-old, Randeep Hooda was attacked online for trolling her.
Sonam Kapoor, a proud feminist, said it is disgusting, appalling and she is entitled to have an opinion. What Kaur felt was very compassionate and forgiving and people should applaud her rather than discourage her. It's her father and she can what she wants for him, its wrong to criticize her.

Sonam reiterated Akhtar's thoughts saying that people are ignorant which is why they speak the way they do.
