Manoj Bajpayee's name was dropped in last moment from Padma awards

The Padma awards were finally announced and it seems that the committee has ignored Bollywood.It was anticipated that Manoj Bajpayee would win for Aligarh, where he played a gay professor. When the rumour spread, his fans immediately started congratulating the actor. Even Aligarh's writer Apurva Asrani tweeted, 'The news is just in that Manoj Bajpayee has won the Padma Bhushan - one of the country's highest civilian honors. My joys know bound today, as I have been fortunate to see his magic closely from Satya to Aligarh. Congratulations.'

Just an hour later the writer had to remove his tweet because there was no name of Manoj Bajpayee in the official list. We wonder why Manoj was dropped even after his brilliant performances in Aligarh and Budhia Singh : Born to Run.
Many says that his controversial rile of a gay professor is not supported by Indian government and to avoid any turmoil the committee decided to skip his name. Manoj had nothing to say about this debacle.
