"The Elephant Man" British actor John Hurt died at the age of 77 after fighting battle with pancreatic cancer. His agent Charles McDonald gave the new of his demise to media saying actor died on Friday in London.
John was recently nominated for Oscar for his film Jackie. Actor leaves down a trail of movie that will be remembered forever in Hollywood. His best included the prison drama Midnight Express, the science-fiction horror film Alien, the adventure film Rob Roy, the political thriller V for Vendetta, the super-natural thriller "The Skeleton Key", the sci-fi adventure film Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the Harry Potter film series, the Hellboy films and the Cold War espionage film Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.
His rich voice was also a treat in movies like Watership Down , The Lord of the Rings, The Black Cauldron and Dogville .
Hurt died at his home in Cromer, Norfolk on 25 January 2017, three days after his 77th birthday. His death was announced two days later.
