Many Bollywood actors have spoken up for women empowerment in the wake of the mass molestation case in Bengaluru during New Years Eve. Apart from Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma, Taapsee Pannu even actor Ali Fazal has condemned this horrific incident.
Ali is not one to sit idle, he has taken an initiative to enroll all the girls in his own family in a self-defense class. He decided to teach his nieces and cousins between the age of 14-18 years in Allahabad and Lucknow. Ali was inspired by his cousin in London who has learned some martial arts techniques. He says you can't flee from the country for such things, and educating school children is a good way to fight this. However, he believes that the need of the hour is that women learn to protect themselves when required and he has started this step in his own home.
