'Gone Baby Gone' director Ben Affleck is now out of directors chair of 'Batman' solo movie. With this the only best thing with the extended movie has gone down after previous movie being not appreciated by critics. Affleck is also playing lead actor in the movie and says with time he discovered that he cannot do both roles (lead actor and director's ) together.
Sources mentions that this decision was not taken in haste and an official statement was later made by studio saying "Warner Bros. fully supports Ben Affleck's decision and remains committed to working with him to bring a standalone Batman picture to life."
Ben Affleck played the role of Dark Knight in last year's 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' and 'Suicide Squad' and is all set to reprise it in 'Justice League' releasing this November.

Singer T.Rajendar - busy man!

Singer T.Rajendar has been giving many hit numbers like Happy New Year from the film 'Kavan', Damukaatlaan Dumukaatalaa from 'KIN', Dandanakka from Romeo Juliet to name some.
Recently, he has lend his voice for a track composed by Vishal Chandrashekhar who is known for 'Sawaari' and 'Jil Jung Juk' in the film '7 Naatkal' which is being directed by Gautham VR.
Music director Vishal in a chat said, "T.Rajendar is a high energy positive bomb and an excellent prospect to this song and album. We did not plan on a Kuthu number initially but since it's his forte, we decided to go with a Kuthu song with a slight difference. This song will have a lot of electro and trap with some foot tapping music complimented well by TR's voice. He is such a humble person and while recording him, it's best to let him be rather than restrict him as that is when he brings out the best in him."
Vishal Chandrashekar is having a busy schedule as apart from '7 Naatkal' he has 'Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae' under Atlee's production, 'Kuttram 23' by Arivazhagan and Kanneer Anjali directed by 'Guhan Seniappan'.

Sri Thenandal Films official announecement on 'Vijay 61'

Finally, the official announcement has been made by Sri Thenandal Films, the producer of 'Vijay 61'. This untitled film is the 100th film to be produced under the prestigious banner.
The film is to begin shooting from 1st February in Chennai. The film is also scheduled to be shot at Punjab, the United States, and Europe.
The lead female role in the film is being played by Jyothika, Samantha and Kajal Aggarwal, whereas Vadivelu, S.J.Suryah and Sathyan will be seen in important roles.
AR Rahman will be composing the music for the film and cinematography, editing, stunt and art direction will be taken care by G.K.Vishnu, Ruben, Anl Arasu, and Muthuraj respectively.
The script for the film is written by K.Bujayendra Prasad and story, dialogues, and direction by Atlee.

Jayam Ravi has been roped in for 'Sangamithra' a grand project by Sundar C's. Another lead actor in the film is Jayam's best friend Arya and music for the film is being composed by AR.Rahman
Recently, Jayam Ravi talked about the film,'I am not excited about Sangamithra. I only feel responsible and want to do justice to the project by giving my best. In fact, Arya and I have never discussed about the movie even after the official confirmation. Though we speak everyday to each other, we do not talk about Sangamithra. Horse riding and sword fighting training sessions are going on for the two of us. Bollywood heroines like Sonakshi Sinha and Deepika padukone are in talks for the project but nothing is officially confirmed yet.'
When he was asked about the huge budget of the film he said, 'Sangamithra is not about the grandeur. It is about the content and story which requires a certain level of grandeur and budget. This won't dominate the story base or the emotions which will be biggest strengths of Sangamithra.'

Sanjay Leela Bhansali cancels shooting of Padmavati in Jaipur post the vandalism

A day after Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his crew were attacked on the sets of Padmavati, the filmmaker decided to cancel shooting in Jaipur all together.
Bhansali is so disturbed that he immediately packed up and has claimed that he will never shoot again in Jaipur. The team will now make sets in Mumbai and resume their shoot.
Some activists of Shree Rajput Karni Sena, vandalised the sets of Padmavati, they protested, misbehaved, manhandled the crew and damaged cameras and other equipment, forcing Bhansali to stop shooting.
They claimed that they had earlier requested Bhansali to show them the script of Padmavati since they suspect that he is distorting historical facts and they are staunchly against it. The activists claim that the makers are defaming Padmavati, there is no written proof of Alauddin Khilji falling in love with Padmavati or he that he was her lover.

Ali is not one to sit idle, he has taken an initiative to enroll all the girls in his own family in a self-defense class. He decided to teach his nieces and cousins between the age of 14-18 years in Allahabad and Lucknow. Ali was inspired by his cousin in London who has learned some martial arts techniques. He says you can't flee from the country for such things, and educating school children is a good way to fight this. However, he believes that the need of the hour is that women learn to protect themselves when required and he has started this step in his own home.

'Thala57' to face tough competition

Ajith's 'Thala 57' is eyeing a release on Ramzan this year and is likely to hit the screens around June 23rd. Earlier it was scheduled for release in April.

Deepika Padukone reacts to the assault on Padmavati crew in Jaipur

The controversial attack on director Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the sets of Padmavati has become the talk of the town. Not only the cast, but also Bollywood is fuming over the unnecessary assault by a local organisation on the sets of Padmavati in Jaigarh Fort.
The National award winning director was also attacked by the crowd who beat him and tore his clothes over apparent distortion of facts on Padmavati's life. Deepika Padukone is shocked over what happened and is extremely upset. She has confirmed that there is absolutely no distortion of facts in their period drama and said that their endeavour was to simply share the story of this powerful woman.

The actors were supposed to arrive at Jaipur for the second schedule of Padmavati shooting but the location has been shifted back to Mumbai in the wake of the attack.
The Film and Television Prodcuer's Guild of India have also reacted saying that it was an unfortunate and unacceptable incident and have asked the government of India as well as the State government of Rajasthan to intervene in this assault case.

Salman Khan pleads not guilty in the blackbuck poaching case

Salman's last case for the blackbuck poaching has started and the actor pleads not guilty. While giving his statement in Jodhpur court, the actor says he's been falsely accused and is innocent. The actors involved in the blackbuck poaching case, namely, Salman, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam claim that they never left their hotel room.

Salman answered 65 questions relating to the incident on the night of the death of two blackbucks. While the actor gave his statement, there were 28 witnesses present among who were many members of the Bishnoi tribe, who reportedly chased the actor after the two blackbucks were shot dead. Khan however claimed that the witnesses have been forged by the forest department to claim publicity out of the situation. It has been almost 19 years since the incident happened and now with the fast pace of the proceedings it seems that the court is looking to finally close the case.

Sonakshi will launch a new Zombie gaming experience

Continuing her action streak, Sonakshi Sinha will now be associated a novel VR (virtual reality) immersive gaming experience. The gaming experience is on its world tour and will arrive in Mumbai after its launch in Japan.


It will enable Sonakshi to simulate in some zombie attacks, wearing virtual glasses on and a vest that provides vibration and audio feedback, while she will be using a gun to shoot on-screen.
The game is inspired by Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, a science fiction action horror film written and directed by Paul W. S. Anderson.

Vandalism of Padmavati's Jaipur sets

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Padmavati is not sailing smoothly. Recently the locals in Jaipur created a ruckus on the sets prepared in Jaipur and vandalised the property. The locals claim that the queen of Chittor is being shown in the film and a local organisation called Karni Sena is protesting against the film.
Some parts of the film are being shot in Jaipur for which sets were prepared. The organisation assembled a group of people who vandalised the sets and things quickly went out of control. The film making equipment was targeted and local authorities had to be called to control the situation. According to sources, Ranveer Singh was presented at the Jaipur during this commotion. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's increased security to keep his sets hidden seemed to have not worked, so we wonder what his next step will be.

The ideal son: Ajay Devgn leaves Baadshaho shoot for his ill mother

Ajay Devgn has to leave his Baadshaho shoot midway to come to his ailing mother's aid. Ajay's mother has been ill but was admitted to the hospital recently. She apparently suffered from some infection in her chest and was immediately admitted to the ICU of a private hospital in Santacruz. After some health improvement, the hospital discharged her and only after this Ajay resumed his work.
