Amitabh Bachchan writes a blog for late friend Om Puri

The sudden demise of legendary actor Om Puri has shaken Bollywood and saw the actors take to various social media portals to express their sadness.
Megastar, Amitabh Bachchan, usually reserved could not stop himself from expressing his sorrow and wrote a blog about his dear friend:

Life's suddenness astounds us all .. we live to be untouched by any misfortune .. we believe that there are other ones who shall bear and not us .. we are at times somewhat confident of the eventualities that the 'other' faces, never us .. tragedies that occur, occur to the others, not us ..
Or so we believe .. and hope.
Hope often beckons tidings that are alluring, filled with the countless colors of the rainbow in different hues, laughter, and smiles, breathtaking pleasantries of loved ones .. everything that smells of righteousness and the softness of care and comfort.
BUT ..
It never takes long for all of it to crumble before the very eyes that sought happy existence ..!!
Death, that darkest moment of humanity, took away another soul into its boundless fold and left us all in disbelief.
We live in belief and are woken up to the eventuality of disbelief .. the balance of nature is peculiar and often never understood until it draws a line close enough for you to be unable to cross.
A friend .. an affable loving colleague .. a dynamic talent .. lost .. just like that .. in a whisper that invaded our modern communication system.
I visit his cremation .. drive down from my surroundings .. the streets are loaded with those that live their own life, make their own moves and conduct themselves in their own personal world .. they be unaware of a loss or a gain .. why should they .. they are existing, others have just been deprived of theirs, who cares .
And at the crematorium, the flashes of the night cameras, blinding the path to the bereaved family, are in existence too of their profession .. that is their most important chore for the day .. mine .. to hold my friends' son in an embrace and transfer strength to him in his young world.
“Be strong" .. is all I can muster .. what else can I say .. what else can anyone say .. they that have lost personally and in relation, shall bear the end, with greater sorrow .. who knows.
I stand in silence .. head to the ground .. the others stand too .. their heads to me.
They that have the capacity to draw attention from the mass, shall ever be looked at .. in joy and in grief.
But, with understanding belief .. I shall doubt.
The pain of 'one' shall never be in the same measure, as the 'one' themselves.
'tis natures way.
Om Puri, if in soul you be, may you remain with your ever infectious smile!
